I WILL SEEK

I love the verse "Where your treasure is, there your heart will be also" because it's very basic, yet profound at the same time.  I wanted to tell God that HE IS my treasure.  I wanted to sing it directly to Him.

So, I wrote in the verse "with You there my heart is" and then in the chorus "I will seek first Your Kingdom, God."  You'll hear in the recording that I had some close friends sing this song with me and together we offered worship and love to the Father.

I invite you to pray with me...and always make HIM your treasure.

Much love,

Wade

STAY WITH ME

This song subjectively consists of two parts: One It is a simple request, a simple prayer that God will stay with us and be with us especially when you feel the presence of God, you don't want that to end. And secondly, as it says in the song:

“Praise be to the Father, Praise be to the Son, Praise be to the Spirit” As Christians, we believe in the Trinity, but sometimes we forget about it but when Jesus is present, so is the Father and the Spirit, and when the Father is present, so are the Son and the Spirit. Remember that next time you feel the presence of God, that you are there before him, Three in One.

Much love,

Wade

STEADY

Steady are the eyes that see us from the cross
Steady are the hands that built the universe
Steady is the heart that bled for all the world
Steady is Your love

Hey Friends! I wanted to take a minute to tell you about a song of mine that has been receiving a lot of feedback. This particular song, Steady, took me quite a long time to fully complete, in fact, it was about 8 years ago when I first started writing it. I was sitting down with my pastor, and we were trying to figure out the phrase encompassing the word "steady" that was commonly used in the sailing industry. Come to find out, the phrase is “Steady as she goes!” which was yelled between sailors and captains when the boat was maneuvering into a dock, or around objects.

This phrase, and conversation, sparked the thought: “Where is it that we find our steadiness?” That thought brought about the realization that the only truly steady thing, or person, is the Lord. This fact is what the chorus of the song focuses on: “Steady are the eyes that see us from the cross, Steady are the hands that built the universe, Steady is your love.” In the verses of the song, I related multiple parables and stories from the bible in which the people are continually seeking steadiness. A few that I wrote of are:

The Prodigal son: Luke 15:11-32
The Parable of the Foundations: Matthew 7:24-27
The lost Sheep: Luke 15:4-6
Peter’s denials: Matthew  26:69-75

All in all, this song is a reminder that I would be lost without the steady love of the Lord, and in Him I should place my strength.

If you'd like to learn this song, I've created a lesson for you and some free PDF song sheets to follow (below).  Steady as she goes!

All the best,

Wade
